Hip Hop Poetry Lab: Write Your Own Verse

A 5-day camp where kids discover that rap and hip hop grow straight out of poetry. Campers learn the concepts and creative style of writing poetry — rhyme, rhythm, imagery, and composition — then turn their own short poems into verses. Each camper picks from 6 optional backing tracks (3 beats + 3 instrumentals) to layer their poem over and performs in a friendly mini showcase. No experience needed — just a voice and a notebook!

What kids will do
